Gerald Anderson signs up for two more Star Cinema movies

Gerald Anderson has a reason to celebrate because apart from the success of Paano Na Kaya?, which raked in P12 million on its opening day, he just signed up for two more movies with Star Cinema. During his contract signing with Star Cinema together with his Paano Na Kaya? leading lady and constant ka-love team Kim Chiu, Gerald expressed his gratitude to his mother film studio. “Sobra kaming natutuwa dahil malakas pa rin ang tiwala ng Star Cinema sa amin at binigyan pa nila kami ng two movies pa. Ang nasa contract namin ni Kim is two movies sa kanya, two movies din sa akin. Ewan ko lang kung magkasama kami dun o hindi. Let’s see.”

There are also plans for a movie that will star Gerald and the other young actors who headlined the action-fantasy series Agimat: Ang mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla. “I’m very excited about that because alam naman nating lahat kung gaano naging successful ‘yung Agimat. Ang taas ng ratings nung sa akin na Tiagong Akyat at ngayon ‘yung Pepeng Agimat ni Jolo (Revilla). Sana matuloy kasi gusto kong magkasama kami sa isang project.” Agimat will next feature Coco Martin in the role of Tonyong Bayawak and Jake Cuenca as Elias Paniki.

The 20-year-old Fil-American cutie is thankful for having one successful project after another, and following the top-rating teleserye Tayong Dalawa, he and Kim proved they also have box-office draw with Paano Na Kaya? “Noong 2009 I was very thankful kasi napakaganda ng year para sa amin because Tayong Dalawa was very successful. Last Christmas I wished na sana magtuloy-tuloy pa ‘yung success. Now pagpasok ng taon napaka-successful ng Paano Na Kaya? at may two movies agad kaming naka-line up so I’m very happy.”

As for the real score between him and Kim, Gerald said that although he has been vocal about his courtship of the young Fil-Chinese actress, they would rather focus on taking care of their love team. “Hindi naman kasi kami nagmamadali. Also mahirap din na pagsabayin ‘yung personal at ang career. Four years na kaming magkasama ni Kim so I think we’re okay.”
