Kim Chiu gives Gerald Anderson a designer wallet for Christmas

During a visit to the set of Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, Kim Chiu told ABS-CBN.com that most of her wardrobe for the soap is comprised of sexy outfits to match her recent transformation into a mature young actress. “Oo nga e, sobrang iiksi ng mga damit ko dito, talagang super short shorts, mga pasexy na dress ganon. Kaya nga sabi ko, ’Ay ’di pwedeng magkapeklat!' Pero nagkapeklat-peklat na ako dahil sa mga production numbers sa ASAP.”

Co-star Kris Aquino even helps Kim choose designer bags to complement her character’s fashion style. “Sobrang maasikaso nga siya e kasi may pole scene kami. Kunwari hinulog ako sa pole, e naka-tube [top] lang ako. Sabi niya, ‘Hindi pwede ‘yan, mahuhulog yung tube mo. Maghe-hello yung boobey mo diyan.’ So nagpakuha siya ng tape tapos tinape niya yung damit ko para daw hindi malaglag. Ganon siya ka-supportive na co-star,” she added.

Kim remained mum about the real score between her and long-time onscreen partner Gerald Anderson. Rumor has it that she went with his friends to pick him up at the airport when he arrived from the US, but the young star claimed that she was with her family at the time. “Hindi a! Alas dose na ng gabi siya dumating sa airport galing States. New Year na New Year nasa airport ako? Hindi yun totoo. Kasama ko yung mga kapatid ko sa bahay, nagpaputok kami. Ayun. Hindi kami magkasama nung Christmas tsaka New Year. Umalis kasi siya nung December 22 tapos bumalik siya nung January 1 ng madaling araw.”

For his part, Gerald maintained that he’s not pressuring Kim to commit anytime soon. The two, however, might as well be a real couple with the way they shower each other with expensive gifts. “Christmas gift niya sa akin yung pink bike. Ako binigyan ko siya ng LV (Louis Vuitton) na wallet. E kasi gutay-gutay na yung wallet niya. Sabi ko, ‘Palitan mo naman ‘yan ng mas matibay.’ Sabi niya, ‘Ayoko okay na ‘to.’ Sabi ko, ‘Ano ka ba, nakikita ka ng ibang tao tapos yung wallet mo ganyan?' Sabi niya, ‘Hindi okay lang.’ So binigyan ko siya ng LV kasi ‘di ba matibay yun?”

The pink bike Gerald gave to her has actually paved the way for the two of them to have more bonding moments—even while they’re at work. One of the locations of their movie Paano Na Kaya is near the place where Gerald lives. So every time he has a chance to take a long break, he would simply go biking around the neighborhood. “Nagagandahan kami sa bike niya. Tapos biglang ginulat niya ako lately nung niyaya niya akong mag-bike. Sabi ko, ‘Wala naman akong bike.’ Sabi niya, ‘Ayun o yung pink gamitin mo.’ Sabi ko, ‘Bakit?’ Yun na pala yung gift niya sa akin. Na-try ko na gamitin sa village nila. Pero bawal angkasan yung pink na bike baka masira,” she recalled.

Meanwhile, Kim is really looking forward to the completion of her dream house in an upscale residential area. “Sana matapos na yung bahay ko at dun na ako tumira bago matapos ang 2010. Zen-American style siya na three-storey din parang kay Gerald. Pero wala naman kaming usapan na dapat pareho kami. Hindi pa ako bumibili ng furniture kasi skeleton pa lang yung bahay. Once na magawa na yung bahay balak ko patirahin na yung family ko dito,” she beamed.
