Double the pressure

No doubt one of the hottest tandems in showbiz today is that of Cebuana-Chinese Kim Chiu and Filipino-American Gerald Anderson. The two are all over the entertainment scene these days with the recent launch of their latest ABS-CBN drama Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo and their soon-to-be-released movie Paano Na Kaya.

“I feel so much pressure at the moment,” Gerald tells us. “It feels like Kim and I are both on the hot seat and so much is expected of our love team. Imagine, our new show just had its premiere on TV and here we are promoting our new movie.”

Kim agrees with Gerald, describing her feelings as “nerve-wracking!” “Parang hindi ako makakain ng maayos at hindi mahimbing ang tulog ko kasi naghalo-halo na ang excitement, pagod and tension.”

Despite their hectic work schedule, the pair feels lucky to have each other. “Siguro hindi pa lalakas ang loob ko kung hindi rin dahil nandiyan lagi si Gerald sa tabi ko,” she says.

While their huge fan base believes there is romance going on between the two, neither has admitted to it. “We are more than friends, and that’s a comfortable place to be,” affirms Gerald.

“Huwag na lang nila kaming pangunahan ni Gerald dahil baka hindi pa matuloy,” Kim issues a warning.
