'Paano Na Kaya?' earns P10M on first day

MANILA – “Paano Na Kaya?," Star Cinema’s first offering this year, earned P10 million in ticket sales on its first day of screening on Wednesday.

This was according to the data released by Star Cinema's Booking and Distribution Department, “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” reported.

Under the direction of Ruel S. Bayani, “Paano Na Kaya?" features the hottest love team in show business today - Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

"Sobrang overwhelmed kami siyempre na napanood na ng lahat ng tao ang pinaghirapan namin," Bayani said.

Chiu and Anderson, or “Kimerald,” were also ecstatic with the success of their 4th film together.

"Very overwhelming, masaya," Anderson said when told of the film's success.

"Nakakagaan ng loob na nagustuhan nila ang pelikula," Chiu added.

"Paano Na Kaya?" tells the story of Mae (Chiu), who is secretly in love with her best friend, Bogs (Anderson).

But their relationship turns complicated when Anderson's girlfriend, Anna (Melissa Ricks), breaks up with him. The separation sends Bogs into depression, and Mae comes to the rescue.

Mae thinks that the best way to save Bogs from self-destruction is by having a pseudo-relationship or "rebound relationship" with him.

Eventually the 2 fall in love, and from then on, they encounter the complexities or the intricacies of a "rebound relationship."

The cast members also include Cai Cortez, Janus del Prado, Empoy Marquez, IC Mendoza, Kian Kazemi, Bernard Palanca, Robi Domingo and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
