Mother Lily revealed that when she conceptualized Mano Po 6, My Mother, she was eyeing Kim Chiu to play Sharon’s daughter.
“Talagang Chinese kasi si Kim,” Mother Lily said. “At saka, gumawa na siya ng movie sa Regal Entertainment (one of the three episodes in Shake, Rattle and Roll, which was shown in last year’s MMFF). At nababaitan ako sa kanya.”
When Mother Lily learned, however, na nasa cast si Kim ng MMFF entry ng Star Cinema, Kim’s mother studio, she would have settled for Angel Locsin, only for her to discover na may gagawin siyang movie sometime in December with Aga Muhlach na ang magdidirek ay si Olive Lamasan.
KC Concepcion would have been an ideal choice for the role. Pero, pumayag kaya si Sharon? O, ang talent manager nitong sina Shirley Kuan and Sandra Chavez.
Bea Alonzo was the next choice. Kaso, may gagawin siyang movie for Star Cinema which will reunite her with John Lloyd Cruz and with Cathy Garcia Molina at the helm.
May nag-suggest na why not Marian Rivera?

I think it odd or alangan to have KC and Sharon in one movie. Real life mother and daughter okay but in the movie "No". Tama ka dyan - imposibleng hindi killa ni Sharon si Kim. Di ba si Gabby Concepcion ang kasama ni kim sa movie na ito?? Imposible na hindi nya kilala si Kim na primetime princess. Hindi ba sya nanood ng TD?? Shaina or Melissa be good.
hey, just dropped by to say they both STINK! they are not cool and gerald anderson really doesn't know how to act, he's so OA. (walang kwenta talaga) and KIM, look at how she screams, it looks like pinipigil niya, especially dun sa scene nila nung sumisigaw si KIm at pinapapili niya si gerald between her and their baby. This is a KIMERALD site. I just find it so strange that a person like that of 7:33, who is obviously not keen about KIMERALD, but still spends his/her time here in this site. Of course it is his/her prerogative and freedom to do what he/she wills to do, but if I am on his/her shoes I would not bother or waster my time to go to a site especially dedicated for people who I am not so keen. It is just so strange... Clearly, he/she is just stirring some trouble. Just an observation!
I agree that this article is unfair as Sharon clearly states at the beginning that she does not prefer Kim to be in her movie. Also, I think Kim and Gerald's acting skills improved a lot and now we can proudly say that their acting abilities are in par with other actor and actresses of their generation. Although, I think it is not BAD to say they still have lots of potentials and there are still room for improvements. And I can't wait to see this for sure! Hence, I think it is not totally fair to say they are lame (especially Kim).
Just a side note though for the fans of KIMERALD and just a piece of advice (you don't necessarily need to follow me if you don't want it). I just though that perhaps to to be good examples for others, let us refrain from bashing other talents (i.e. actors or actresses) just to prove that our idols are the best. I know we can't help others if they don't see what we see in KIMERALD but maybe we could find a way to defend them without bashing other artists. I think this is a bit low and we are just imitating the hateful things they are doing to KIMERALD.

Are you so insecure and desparate that even on this site you are a critic to Kim and Gerald? Your reaction is a manifestation of a defeat and desparation.
O come on,be happy that Kim and Gerald are shining and are enjoying success.Siguro iba ka from millions of A to D crowd of Kimerald. Please avoid crab mentality.It is detrimental to the industry. Learn to appreciate and accept your defeat, mas may show of sportmanship ka pa. Next time control your emotions of jealousy ,it is not good to your health. Be happy of the glory and success of others.
di bagay kay Sharon and KC ang Mano po dahil puro malalaki ang mata.....nawala ang pagka chinita....buti pa si Kim or Angel kasi mga chinita eyes....ano ba yan mother!
I like Kimerald, and they are the only reason I watch the soap these days. But I hope they learn to answer interviews better, especially Kim. She seems to have difficulty speaking in English which I find is kind of unusual for us Cebuanas. Usually we find it harder to speak in Tagalog than English. Maybe ABS can polish them in this area more. Don't mean to insult anyone, just hope this goes to the right ears. I really want them to last and get more good projects. Peace out.
I love KIM, also my positive advise for her, I came from Bacolod, we are not fluent in Tagalog but we are more used to English or Ilonggo. They always comment they like our accent even they can't understand.. She has to improve in her English so she can relay more to her fans here and abroad especially to Fil-Am citizens. Anyway GERALD is there to couch you, as KIM is teaching him "BISAYA". Guys, we love you both and we want the best for all your coming projects, you can count on us. Go.....go....go... KIMERALD !!!!!!
