Kris Aquino returns to acting

After a few years of mainly doing hosting chores, Kris Aquino is now set to return to acting via ABS-CBN's "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo."

Based on this development, Kris will not be hosting the game show, “Pilipinas Got Talent,” which was offered to her prior.

Instead, the job of hosting the reality-based talent search went to Billy Crawford, with Kris merely sitting in as one the judges.

Kris has also returned to acting in the movies. She will essay the role of Sharon Cuneta's best friend in Regal Entertainment's "Mano Po 6: My Mother,” agreeing to do so gratis et amore.

Of late, Kris has been busy helping Ondoy victims, going as far as Laguna to distribute relief goods. She also donated an imported bag to Angel Locsin's celebrity online auction, Shop and Share, to help Ondoy victims.

"Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo," which also stars the popular tandem of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, will be Kris's first time to work with action superstar Robin Padilla in a soap opera. It can be recalled that she was once linked to Robin during the time the action star had just begun building a name for himself.

The popular hosts' first soap was ABS-CBN's "Hiram" in which she played the role of Diana Benipayo, an insecure woman in love with the character played by actor John Estrada.
