Ikinuwento nga ni Kris kung paano siya nakasali sa MP6 habang naghihintay siya na mai-set up ang kamera at ilaw sa shooting.

“Nag-offer si Tita Malou (Santos) ng project na maganda talaga with Uge (Eugene Domingo) at Kimerald (Kim Chiu at Gerald Anderson). But the problem was, ‘yung time frame noon was July, August, September. That was the time my mom was taking a turn for the worst. Politely, nagsabi ako na I can’t commit to a project with my mom’s condition that way.

“Tapos, nagkaroon ako ng formal letter to withdraw. Then, when everything happened to Noy (Aquino) and Mother Lily was the first to be vocal sa support, sinabi ko kay Mother na everytime I can return the favor for you, I owe you a movie. Tapos, si Roselle (Mother Lily’s daughter) said, ‘Are you serious about that?’ Sinabi niya na may role sa Mano Po na best friend ni Sharon. And then I said, ‘Of course!!!’ And now, I’m here!

“It was also an opportunity to be able to say thank you to Sharon and to Kiko because sila rin, they were the firsts also to be vocal sa kanilang hangarin na makatulong kay Noy. Kaya siguro, it’s just a way na siguro, kung tinutulungan ang kapatid mo, sino ka para hindi ibalik ‘yung kagandahang loob na ipinagkaloob sa inyo!” kuwento ni Kris sa nangyari.

Ano naman ang reaksyon niya sa sinabi ni Sharon na hindi siya makapaniwalang tatanggapin niya ang project at wala pa siyang talent fee?

“Oo, wala at abonado pa nga ako! Ha! Ha! Ha!

“Siyempre, you’ll pay for your clothes, pay for your make up artist. Tapos, napa-absent ako sa SNN (Showbiz News Nga­yon). Nagagalit sila sa akin. Sorry! Ha! Ha! Ha!

“It would be so much pride on my part to be able to do this for Mother Lily. It’s my third Mano Po. Saka mahal ng pamil­ya namin si Mother Lily. So, ‘yung mga kapatid ko rin ang nagsabi na kaila­ngang gawin ko,” paliwanag pa niya.

Sa pagtanggap niya ng Mano Po, panay ang hingi niya ng sorry sa Star Cinema boss na si Malou Santos, pero may iba naman siyang gagawin sa Dos.

“I’m committed to do a teleserye with Kim and Gerald to start end of November. Normally that’s about six months and we’re eyeing a February telecast. Then, I’m one of the judges sa Pilipinas Got Talent na mag-uumpisa ng December for a March airing naman. Iikot ‘yon sa buong Philippines. That’s beside SNN at The Buzz. So, I’m busy! Ha! Ha! Ha!” natatawang saad pa ni Kris.

Itinanggi naman niya na magsasama sila uli ni Robin Padilla sa isang movie.

“What I was told, Robin had said na gusto niya to start his commitment with ABS CBN with a film. Doon sa time frame ng ABS, I think, the project is with Kim, Gerald and myself and other big names but unfortunately, Robin turned it down because film ang gusto niyang gawin,” bali­ta ng TV host-actress.
