Seventy Star Magic artists in ‘biggest charity concert’

Pelita Uy of Beginnings at Twenty Plus, one of the team behind a landmark charity "the biggest charity concert" as seventy (possibly more) artists of ABS-CBN come together for a good cause.

The exciting event was conceived a little after the staging of the successful Star Magic world concert tour four months ago. Filipinos in Los Angeles and San Francisco California were treated to two days of world-class entertainment participated by the most renowned artists, the funniest comedians and the best singers from the Philippines. It was produced by All Access in Los Angeles and Shoe String Entertainment and graced by 45 talents from Star Magic.

Due to the overwhelming success in North America, Beginnings At Twenty Plus Inc. of Stanley and Pelita Uy, which participated as a presentor in the Los Angeles show, together with Star Records Inc. (headed by Malou Santos and Annabelle Regalado-Borja) and Blue Dream Entertainment of Christian Andoy thought of giving Pinoys here the opportunity to watch seventy of the biggest and the brightest Star Magic artists perform in one stage. But aside from seeing a spectacular show, the audience will also be contributing to the ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya, which has been continuously reaching out to the victims of Ondoy and Pepeng,

With the plight of the millions of victims and survivors still lingering in their minds and with their awareness of the impact of disasters to our people, producers Star Records Inc, Beginnings At Twenty Plus Inc. and Blue Dream Entertainment once again unite in responding to their shared conviction of giving the proceeds of the ticket sales to ABS CBN Foundation Inc.-Sagip Kapamilya. Sagip Kapamilya is the emergency humanitarian assistance program of ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. which aims to provide food and non-food relief to affected communities of disasters, rehabilitation and disaster-risk reduction projects.

"These are trying times. Never in the history of our disaster-prone country did we experience the catastrophic forces of nature rendering all faction of society in equal terms. All of us are affected, either directly or indirectly. It’s time for all of us to listen to God’s call," said Pelita, who in her personal capacity has reached out to some of the victims, especially as three staffs of Beginnings at Twenty Plus were themselves not spared by the calamity.

"In desperate times like these , only our fellow Filipinos can help us .We cannot stop now," added Christian of Blue Dream Entertainment.

All Star Magic artists who has been active in raising funds for typhoons’ survivors supported the endeavor of the producers and volunteered to donate all their talent fees. "When Mr. Johnny Manahan informed us that the Star Magic artists decided to give all their talent fees in this concert, we know that they made a big sacrifice.We have high hopes that many will give their share by supporting the concert," enthused Annabelle Regalado-Borja of Star Records Inc.

The show will be led by Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto and joined by Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo, Kristine Hermosa John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu.

Also in it are Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Erich Gonzales, Melissa Ricks, Matt Evans, Pokwang, Chokoleit, Kitkat, Bentong, Rafael Rosell, Zanjoe Marudo, Victor Basa, Jon Avila and Jake Cuenca.

The biggest and once-in-a-lifetime gathering of the brightest stars in the Philippines will be directed by no less than Johnny Manahan.
