Medyo reluctant pala si Kim Chiu to accept the role sa Metro Manila filmfest entry na I Love You…Goodbye.

If she were playing the role raw sana of Gabby Concepcion’s daughter, okay lang. In fact, the idea excited her.

Kaso, she learned na isa siyang spoiled brat, to the point na inaapi-api niya ang babaing supposedly ay magiging madrasta niya (Angelica Panganiban).

“Sasampalin ko rin siya,” susog pa ni Kim. “And the thought of it, bago finally nakunan ang eksena, gave me goose bumps.

“Si Angelica, na napakabait pa naman sa akin (sa tunay na buhay, ha), sasampalin ko? Dapat hard daw, ha. The idea just scared me.”

What scared her even more, according to Kim, was the turn-about her role will create sa kanyang image, especially sa kanyang followers, the Kimeralds at kay Gerald Anderson mismo.

But at 18, tulad nga ng sabi sa kanya ni Direk Laurice Guillen, namamahala ng I Love You… Goodbye, Kim cannot play teenybopper roles forever.

Her followers will outgrow her daw kaya, makabubuting unahan na niya ang mga ito na ma-outgrow siya.

Although I Love You… Goodbye is Kim’s first time na maidirek ni Laurice, it is not their first time to work in a project together.

Bago raw siya nag-taping for Tayong Dalawa dati, Kim underwent a workshop with Direk Laurice. Ganundin si Gerald.

Kaya when finally the two worked on I Love You… Goodbye, at home na sila sa isa’t isa.

“Ang gagawin kasi ni Direk Laurice ay kukunan ang isang eksena, according to my own interpretation. Tapos, we will both view the scene sa monitor.

Kung nakukulangan siya, she would suggest a retake.

“Ang feeling ko, after this movie, puwede na akong sumabak sa iba pang role. I just hope my fans will understand,” dagdag pa ni Kim.
