Gerald Anderson: Why Cosmo Can't Get Enough Of The Hot Am-Boy

You’re one of the most successful young actors right now. How does it feel to be so successful at your age?
It feels really good. Sobrang nakakatuwa dahil I’ve also been working really hard para sa success. And for this success to happen, kumbaga lahat ng pinaghirapan ko is paying off. It feels really good.
How do you relax when you’re not working?
I stay at home, watch TV. Kapag araw-araw ang trabaho mo talagang hahanapin mo [ang] bahay mo. Hahanapin mo ‘yung tahimik lang, kaysa lumalabas-labas ka pa o gigimik ka pa.
Would you say you enjoyed your youth even though you spent a lot of your teen years working in front of the camera?
Of course. Marami rin akong nagawa bago ako nag-showbiz, ‘yung mga ginagawa talaga ng kabataan. This is also an experience for me, na kahit 20 years old pa lang ako, 19 or 18 noong pumasok ako sa showbiz, not all teenagers mararanasan ‘yun. At least I have something to say; 20 pa lang ako, I built my own house.
You’ve matured a lot from your PBB days. How are you dealing with this more mature and sexier image?
Being part of Cosmo is something I never imagined myself doing. Talagang wow! It’s a big honor for me. And talagang nakakataba ng puso na in-invite ninyo ako sa Cosmo. It feels good! You know, I’m 20 na e. Noong nasa PBB ako, 17 pa lang ako. So talagang ako naman, I’ll be more mature. Pero sexier? I’ve worked kind of hard just to get the body that I have right now for the shoot, and medyo diet. I just really focused noong in-invite ako dito sa Cosmo. I really focused, gagawin ko talaga para maging maganda ‘yung outcome.
How did you take it when you found out you were invited to be a Cosmo Centerfold?
Hindi ko alam kung totoo o hindi e! Tapos lalo na cover pa. So, wow! It must mean something.
How is your onscreen and off-screen relationship with Kim Chiu?
Onscreen, napakaganda ng chemistry namin. Off-screen, lalo na. Basta magkasama kami, sobrang saya namin. Nag-e-enjoy kami ‘pag magkasama kami.
What do you love about her both as an onscreen and off-screen partner?
Onscreen, napaka-professional ni Kim. Off-screen, napakasaya basta kasama siya. Relaxed. Masaya, unpredictable kung ano’ng gagawin n’yo. Kasi any moment of the day, lalabas kayo para kumain or minsan manood ng sine. Basta wala kaming plano. Go with the flow.
Will we be seeing more Kimerald team-ups in the future?
Of course. There will always be a Kimerald. Always. Dahil sa mga fans namin ‘yun e, grabe ang mga fans ng Kimerald. Talagang 100% supportive sila sa amin. And I think they always will be basta magkasama kami. And kahit maghiwalay kami for our own growth, tingin ko andoon pa rin sila para sa amin.
How important are your fans to you?
I usually have a good relationship with my fans. Dapat mahalin mo sila tulad ng pagmamahal nila sa’yo. Kasi they’re going to always be there for you. Susuportahan ka nila and tutulungan ka nila. Acknowledge them paminsan-minsan, kahit paminsan-minsan lang.
Gerald I am so proud of you. You are such a gentleman dahil you always put KIM as your priority kahit ano ang gawin mo and hindi ka nagpapaapekto sa tinatamasa mong tagumpay ngayon . Sana may next movie/teleserye na kayo ni Kim after Tayong Dalawa. More power and success to you both. We love you.

Ge, we, your fans are very happy of what you had achieved in your career. God knows how to reciprocate a humble, grateful and hard working person. Your such a gentleman and a responsible at your young age, you take care of KIM, were so happy that you are there for her with her longing to have her MOM,we have observed her and when she's so emotional when talk about and we feel her situation,as long as we see you both happy, we will be always be supporting all your projects.
