Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson on fans: 'Mahal na mahal nila kami talaga'
( ABS-CBN Interactive ) 11.15.09Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson were overwhelmed by the warm reception of Kapamilya fans who watched the Star Magic Concert at the Araneta Coliseum last November 13. “Ang daming tao tsaka nagchee-cheer pa sila so nawawala yung kaba namin kaya napakasaya,” Kim said.
Kim’s friend and former My Girl co-star Alex Gonzaga recently got into trouble with Kim’s fans when the latter made a comment about Gerald's rumored team-up with Sarah Geronimo for a project. Kimerald fans—as how Kim and Gerald fans call themselves—criticized Alex to the point the young actress went into a fit of depression.
Kim and Gerald refused to talk about the incident with the press since they said they really don’t have a clear idea of what happened. Gerald told members of the media, “Mas may alam po kayo sa nangyayari kaysa sa amin. Hindi ko talaga alam kung anong nangyayari pero 'yun lang ang masasabi ko, malalim talaga ang suporta sa amin at mahal na mahal nila kami (fans) talaga.”
There have been growing criticisms that Kimerald fans have gone overboard with a lot of their demands and actions. Kim and Gerald were quick to rise to their fans’ defense. “Hindi lahat ng fans ganun, eh. Hindi lahat ipaglalaban ka so kami ni Gerald sobrang masaya kami sa lahat ng mga Kimerlad dahil pinaglalaban nila kami kahit anong mangyari. Simula't-simula hanggang ngayon nandiyan pa rin sila, kung hindi dahil sa kanila at mga suporta nila wala kami ni Gerald, kaya super thankful kami,” said Kim.
To give back to their fans, Kim and Gerald see to it that they have bonding moments together. “'Pag may dumarating galing sa States, nagdi-dinner out kami bilang pasasalamat namin sa kanila at nagpapa-autograph sila ng mga magazines pinipirmahan namin kasi isang way na rin yun para mag-thank you sa kanila.”

So humble talaga. How can we not love them so much? KIM & GERALD are always grateful to their fans and they profusely thank them for everything.

They are criticizing the KIMERALDs of going overboard with lots of demands & actions. Well, we are the final consumers and the paying fans, we should have a voice. If we allowed them to do what they want for GERALD, I think by now, palaos na rin siya gaya ng ginawa nila sa ibang love teams. WE're just taking care of them. And this is the only we can do to let them know how & what we feel for KIM & GERALD. And if we don't defend them, who will?
I would like to commend Kim and Gerald for the heart-felt gratitude they give to their fans (even as a mere observer i felt the bond they share with their fans). I can't help but notice and appreciate how they acknowledge their fans last star magic concert. I was sitted near a group of Kimeralds and saw how the faces of Kim and Gerald lit up when they spotted their fans. Kim kept on waving at them and towards the end of the show, with both hands folded on her chest she bowed several times towards the kimeralds as an expression of her gratittude and even as Gerald was near the entrance of the backstage as they were exiting he looked back at their fans and waved at them. Simple gestures that im sure Kimeralds appreciate.

They are very pleased of fans' presence in Araneta na through their gestures, inaacknowledge nila ang presence ng mga fans. Parang ayaw nila pakawalan ang mga fans. Palakad na sila palabas,wave na wave pa rin at masayang masaya silang dalawa sa mga fans. Hindi ako nagtataka kung bakit sila mahal na mahal ng maga fans.
