Kim Chiu is Vilma Santos’s choice for Dolzura Cortez
Fionna Acaba ( ABS-CBN Interactive ) 07.18.09
Kim Chiu earned the admiration of Vilma Santos during the acting workshop for the Star For All Season’s ABS-CBN special at the Dolphy Theater. Kim acted out scenes from the Ate Vi’s movie Dahil Mahal Kita: The Dolzura Cortez Story which impressed the acting legend so much that she stated that Kim could very well play the lead in a remake of the film. The movie detailed the life of Dolzura Cortez, the first Filipino AIDS victim.
Kim was surprised when she was told that she had earned acting icon’s praise.
Kim would love to do the remake if given the chance, but admits that she really needs to work hard to match expectations. “Naku!
Kim laughed when she was told her leading man would be Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 runner-up Bugoy Drilon.
