Kris begs off; Kimerald break-up stops!

Kimerald fans (friends and supporters) will rejoice with this buzz!

Kris Aquino decided not to do “Ikaw Na Nga,” Star Cinema’s official entry to the 2009 Manila Film Festival. As previously reported by STIR, her decision has to do with Mom Cory Aquino’s health condition. She likes to spend as much time to take care of her and shooting a movie will prevent her from doing so. This is the reason she begged off from the project.

This decision directly means that the break-up of Kimerald (Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson) is not pushing through. It seems luck is on Kimerald fans’ side. They bravely protested Kim appearing by herself in “Ikaw Na Nga” and Star Cinema listened. It has decided to adapt a compromise. Gerald is going to appear in the movie in a cameo role!

Who’s going to replace Kris? Maricel Soriano is under consideration. This also means Eugene Domingo has to go. Who’ll replace her? None other than Ai Ai delas Alas!
