Kim on Pauleen: ‘Bahala siya kung anong gusto niyang sabihin’

Even if Kim Chiu had already aired her sentiments about Gerald Anderson’s rumored relationship with Pauleen Luna, the issue still hasn’t died down and the young star has already gotten tired of answering questions related to the matter. “Ewan ko, ang tagal-tagal na ng issue ng Pauleen Luna na ‘yan. Wala ako masasabi, no comment,” she said in an interview at Teatrino last January 7. The Tayong Dalawa teen star further said that she doesn’t want to know whether Pauleen got hurt by Gerald’s denial that he visited her once at the rival network’s daily noontime show. “Uhm, bahala na si Pauleen kung anong gusto niyang sabihin,” she declared.

But she was also quick to clarify that there is no animosity between her and Pauleen. “Oo nagkita kami sa Mall of Asia nung Parade of Stars for the Metro Manila Film Fest. Wala namang deadmahan. Pero kasi mabilis lang kami (cast of Shake, Rattle, and Roll) nagsalita kasi maraming kasunod na movie na entry for MMFF na nakasunod sa amin, kaya mabilis lang,” she explained. Other than that, she refused to elaborate on her statement. “Hayaan na nga natin siya. Huwag na natin siyang pag-usapan. Last year pa ‘yan, New Year na ngayon, bago naman,” she stressed.

As a result of the said controversy, there’s more pressure on Gerald and Kim to turn their onscreen chemistry into a real-life romance. But even if Gerald has already expressed his wish to court Kim, the latter remained unconvinced with this piece of news. "Nako, tignan natin kung manliligaw na talaga siya,” she said with a laugh. If there’s one thing she’s sure of though, it is the fact that her relationship with Gerald is doing more than okay. “Alam ko naman na si Gerald makakapaghintay sa lahat ng bagay. No commitments [muna] at saka masaya naman kami ngayon kung ano’ng meron kami,” she reiterated.

As a matter of fact, Kim revealed that she is really taking care of the pink car that Gerald gave to her as a gift for her 18th birthday last April. “Oo nagagamit ko siya sa ABS-CBN. Kapag rehearsal, ako lang ang nagdadrive. Ang dami ngang nagagandahan eh, kasi sa loob din puro pink, kahit upuan, lahat, pati manibela.” She recently had it fixed though because of a problem with the air-conditioning. “Parang may problem sa aircon or sa makina kaya inaayos siya, pero buhay pa naman siya. Kahit gumastos naman ako [sa pagpapagawa], okay lang, pink naman siya. Pangarap ko talaga kasing magkaroon ng pink car eh,” she disclosed.

But in spite of her mutual understanding with Gerald and his expensive present to her, Kim claimed that she’s also open to other suitors. She wanted to clarify, however, that it’s not because she is making Gerald pay for his alleged involvement with Pauleen. “Gusto ko rin ng nililigawan ako ng iba pero hindi dahil dun. Masaya naman ako kasi mabait si Gerald at nagkakaintindihan kami sa kung ano mang nangyayari,” she beamed.

Are they planning to go on a date this coming Valentine’s Day? “Ayaw ko nang may dinedate ako. Yung pinupunta ako sa restaurant, ganyan? Ayoko talaga ng ganon kasi parang nakakakilabot, parang girl na girl ka naman masyado eh hindi naman ako ganon. Ayoko ng parang dinner date. Gusto ko parang barkada lang yung dating. Ayoko nung kami lang dalawa. Eewww... Nakakahiya,” she concluded.
