Kim Chiu is the Real Next Superstar!

Angel Locsin’s rally with 9,289 votes in the “Who is the Real Next Superstar? POLL in the last two days failed to dislodge Kim Chiu’s own rally at 9,950 votes. This is a 7% difference of 665 votes in favor of Kim as of 11:35am yesterday, June 22.

Angel toppled early leaders Bea Alonzo at 906 votes and Sarah Geronimo at 139 votes but Kim managed to take over and ruled until the end. Kim is therefore declared as the Real Next Superstar!

The Real Next Superstars are Angel, Kim, Bea and Sarah but it’s Kim who topped the much-sought after list. Marian Rivera at 19 votes and KC Concepcion at 3 voteskim chiu willkim chiu have to remain as Network Superstars while Kim, the real superstar got more votes until the end no matter how Angel's FANS try to put their idol ahead of Kim.

STIR visitors decided who's the Real Next Superstar and it believes that the previous poll reflects reality.

When Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Soriano, even Judy Ann Santos were Superstars, there were still no Network Superstars. STIR defined Network Superstars as those entertainment figures who are popular because they are well-supported by their networks even with the absence of a real fan base.

The concept of "Superstar" has evolved. During the time of the Superstars, they must have a viable career in television, movies and stage to be a superstar. Now it’s possible to be a Superstar on the basis of the television alone. Thus, the term Network Superstar.

I’d like to think Marian and KC are more than Network Superstars. I thought Angel Locsin is a Network Superstar until her FANS started casting their votes for two straight days and overturned earlier results. I hope the same for Marian and KC but it never came. For the time being, STIR has to consider them as Network Superstars.
