Kim and Gerald Revive A Classic Fairytale on LoveSpell

Fresh from the success of their movie I've Fallen For You, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson are returning to the small screen with the magic of a fairytale in Lovespell presents Cindy-Rella. Adding a funny twist to the much loved story, the Kimerald tandem will surely bring more 'kilig' to the show than "My Boy, My Girl" their first series on Lovespell. Cindy-Rella will also begin a new chapter of the show as the romantic mini-series extends from the regular four episodes to a full season of 13 episodes.

On their fourth Lovespell installment, Kim will play the role Cindy, a kind-hearted young girl who lives in the medieval times. Like in the fairytale, Cindy has evil stepsisters and a stepmother who treat her like a slave. They also forbade her to attend the birthday party of Prince William, the kingdom's most sought bachelor. But thanks to a fairy godmother, Cindy makes it to the party in an elegant dress, aboard a beautiful carriage. However, Cindy must come home before midnight, or she will instantly return to her filthy appearance. At the party, Prince William is enticed by Cindy's beauty and asks her for a dance. But when her stepmother and stepsisters discover this, they throw Cindy into a well, not to be seen again by the prince.

But through a sudden magical intervention, the well serves as a portal to the modern world, and Cindy instantly wakes up to an environment unknown to her. Enter Albert, played by Gerald, as the modern-day city boy who will help Cindy survive in the real world. Albert eventually falls in love with Cindy, but can they be happy together when they belong to different worlds? Will Cindy choose Albert, the normal guy in her real world, or William, the dashing prince of her fairytale realm?

With Kim and Gerald in this LoveSpell chapter is Sheryl Cruz, playing Cindy's evil stepmother. Sheryl immediately dispells all the rumors surrounding her crossover as a Kapamilya. She says that she is only exercising her right as a freelance actress and that there is no bad blood between her and the other network. Sheryl is also happy to be working with the hottest young loveteam of today given that Sheryl had her share of being in a popular loveteam during her That's Entertainment days.

Also in the cast is Asia's Queen of Songs Pilita Corales who will play Albert's grandmother. Pilita's real-life daughter, veteran actress Jacky Lou Blanco, will be playing the role of Albert's mother. Rap icon Andrew E. will play Albert's father, while Star In A Million finalist Sheryn Regis will play Cindy's fairy godmother. In his first TV role, Be Bench hunk John James Uy will play Prince William, the man who will stand between Cindy and Albert.
