Teen star Kim Chiu has nothing but praise for actress Claudine Barretto after working with the latter for their upcoming project with ABS-CBN's soon to be shown horror TV series "Maligno."
Chiu revealed that she was at first hesitant after learning that she would be working on the series with superstars like Barretto.
"Nakakahiya lalo na kay Miss Claudine. Nahihiya kang magkamali kasi di ba big star na baka ano pa ang masabi niya (I felt shy especially with Miss Claudine. I was afraid of what she would say in case I make a mistake)," Kim Chiu told abs-cbnNews.com inside a makeup room at ABS-CBN compound.
Chiu was relieved however, when she began working with Barretto and found out that the latter was such a kind person. She also reported having a good working relationship with director Wenn Deramas and the rest of the cast.
"Maligno" the second installment of the Susan Roces Cinema Collection, a TV series anthology based on Roces' past films. The first TV series based on a Susan Roces film shown on ABS-CBN was the highly successful "Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara."
Kim Chiu or Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu in real life rose to fame after she was voted as the Big Winner of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition.
She and on-screen love team partner Gerald Anderson starred in the hit romantic drama series "Sana Maulit Muli".
Humanda sa pagdating ng 'Maligno'
ABS-CBN Global Entertainment
Maligno is an upcoming ABS-CBN sineserye adapted from the movie of the same title originally starred by Susan Roces (for which she won a FAMAS best actress trophy) in 1977.
It’s the second installment of Sineserye Presents: The Susan Roces Cinema Collection after Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara. The cast includes Claudine Barretto as Angela Cortez, Diether Ocampo, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Rafael Rosell, Arlene Tolibas, Deejay Durano, Empoy, Steven Fermo, and Gee-Ann Abrahan under the direction of Wenn Deramas. The adaptation of the 1977 Susan Roces classic is set to premiere very very soon.
Claudine returns to primetime TV with a bang as she agreed to do a very intense rape scene with actor co-star Rafael Rosel. Rafael Rosel plays a demon and the offspring of Claudine and himself will wreak havoc and evil on earth.
Without blinking an eyelash, Maligno is definitely more scarier than 'Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara'.
Filipinos truly love the suspense horror genre and getting spooked or scared in general. And why not, the emotion of fear is a powerful emotion after all. And being scared even for just an hour or so watching this TV series will certainly get the blood pumping.
Handa na ba kayo ulit matakot?
